Vegetables
 
In India Vegetables are typically grown in field conditions. But at now growing certain vegetables in Green House or Poly House gives high yield in the vegetable production. So UKSS teaches the various techniques to students so that they can use any of the methods in future depending upon the field and climate condition. In vegetable cultivation we expose the students to understanding the cycle of vegetables, seasonality of vegetables, intercropping of vegetables, cultivation considering the water conditions etc. this helps the students to realize that vegetables can be grown round the year and optimum utilization of water, soil, land , climatic conditions can be done.
 
In UKSS we grow vegetables like :
 
Fruit vegetables : Brinjal,   Cabbage,   Cauliflower,   Okra,   Chilli,   Tomato,   Khnol-kol,   Red Cabbage  Broccoli,  Shimla Mirch
Vine & Creepers :   Bitter gourd,   Bottle gourd,   Sponge gourd,   Ivy gourd,   Cucumber,   Pumpkin,   Ridge gourd   etc.
Pods: Cowpea, French bean, Ghewada, Gaur & Drumstick.
Root & tubors vegetable :   Suran,     Raddish,       etc.
Leafy vegetable: Spinach,   Fenugreek,   Coriander,   Lal math,   Hirwa math   etc.
